About the FTT Reading Room

Feminist Theory Theater (FTT) is a way to read. Any group of readers can assemble as FTT, performing and re-performing a chosen text. There is no audience; readers are performers, and spectatorship is a mode of attuning to emerging interpretation: a reading practiced together. We perform and collectively revise our readings so that the implications of the text materialize relationally, through the bodies of the (animate and inanimate) performers, the (animate and inanimate) audience. Are these relations the ones you want to build? Are they the ones you want to live within?

FTT is a collective reading practice available to and revisable by you, and others. Get started with the Feminist Theory Theater Workbook (below) to guide your first reading, and archive your reading in the Feminist Theory Theater Reading Room.
