About FTT

Feminist Theory Theater (FTT) is a way of reading developed by Christina Aushana, Michael Berman, Yelena Gluzman, Sarah Klein and Julie Burelle in 2014 while grad students at UC San Diego. FTT has continued to develop through the participation of other readers, texts, and sites.

The FTT Reading Room archives many different accounts and experiences and several different scores and instructions used for convening FTT, but they all share the same premise and basic instruction: FTT asks a group of co-present readers to put a text “on its feet,” improvising and revising its performance as a mode of ongoing, embodied interpretation.

Below, find several different versions we have used of the score for convening FTT, which link to its page in the Reading Room, where you’ll find other materials archived for that FTT iteration.
